This is what the crowd will see. You can highlight which team has control of the board, see how many strikes they have and edit the scores as needed.

 

This is where you control everything.

1. Screen On/Off- Select screen size and which display to us for the game screen

2. Custom Logo (TYPED)- Type in text for the logo screen

3. Custom Logo (IMAGE)- Import a PNG to the logo screen

4. Background ALPHA- removes background for custom looks

5. Reset Game -Resets game, so you can play again

6. Edit Names and Scores - Update team names and edit scores if needed

7. Buzz In - The face off buzzer is built into the game screen. There are 3 ways to buzz in: from the UI, Keyboard(buzzers) or on an tablet/phone using CCG.buzz

8. Who is playing- When someone wins the face off, click on "Left (or Right) is Playing". This will highlight the team name and allow you to see the "X" strikes.

9. CCG.BUZZ - Use an iPad (any device) to buzz in over wifi. You will see the name of the lat team to buzz in here (if you ever need to know)

10. Keyboard Buzzer - Use left, right arrows or “1”, “2” keypress for physical buzzers

11. Audio Sliders- Control music and sound effects separately

12. Q/A Box - See the current questions and answers. There is also an extra textbox that will give you tips on how to run the game

13. Navigation - Switch from Logo to Rounds to Speed Round

14. Edit - Import/Export question sets and complete games

 

 

EDIT/PLAY - Click "Edit" to Import, Export or Edit questions. 

You can easily transfer questions between the archive list and the current game. All these files can be found in your "My Documents" folder for easy sharing.

Game files are saved as .tsv file so you can share with your friends.  The .tsv files do not like "returns". Let the text auto wrap on its own, if you add a "return" you can break the file. To fix a broken .tsv file, open it in a text editor and look for the "return", delete its and save.

 

BUZZERS

The Buzz in system is built right into the game board. This make it way easier to operate the game.  There are 3 ways to buzz in:

1. Keyboard -left, right arrow, or "1", "2" keys, can be used with physical buzzer like the Affordable Buzzers

2. UI - The game operator can buzz in from the control screen UI

3. Use CCG.buzz to connect a tablet or phone for a quick easy wifi buzz in system. On the control screen click "Get code" and the game will generate a room code. On the iPad go to CCG.Buzz and enter the room code.

On an iPad, locking the orientation can help keep things looking correct. 

If you are using Safari Click the Aa in the search bar and click on "Hide Toolbar"

If you save CCG.Buzz (before you load your room code) to your homescreen it will playback full screen.

TIP: Since you can use any wifi device to access CCG.BUZZ you could use a separate laptop to display CCG.buzz. Then even if you buzz in with physical buzzers you will see the buzz in on the gameboard and on the laptop/tablet/iPhone/etc...

A game is made up of 4 questions and a speed round. The questions can have up to 8 answers. When you load questions for the Speed Round you select from the same questions as the regular rounds. You can quickly select an answer and the game knows how many points it is worth. It you want to type in a custom answer and score you can type right into the answer box at the bottom. The "Total" score at the top right so you can adjust scores to help some one win if you want to.

 

Custom logos can be typed in or use a .png 

Intro- Play logo and music, introduce teams

Round 1  Get 1 player for each team to "Face off" at the buzz in podium. 

Winner decides to "Play or Pass". 

If team gets 3 strikes the other team gets a chance to steal.

Award points, then show remaining questions.

Back to Logo screen while you get the next 2 players (1 from each team)

  

 Player 2 is removed from stage. While player 1 plays.

20 sec on clock. "Time starts after 1st question is asked."

Ask question. Start clock. Read rest of the questions.

Reveal answers and points.

Hide results and bring player 2 up.

Show player 1 points to the crowd.

Player 2 can't duplicate an answer or they will here "warning", so they get 25 seconds. Time starts after 1st question is read.

Read question, start clock, read rest of questions.

Reveal answers and scores. If they Get 200 point, play "Winner Animation".

 

 

All of our apps work on Mac and PC, and are made to be played on your computer's second display.

To install our apps you will need Adobe AIR installed. (AIR is already installed on many machines.) If you need it, you can find the correct installer on our Adobe AIR installer page.
